On January 30, 2026, members of the INNO4VEG association visited the Agro Belgrade Fair, one of the leading regional events dedicated to fruit, vegetable, and agricultural production. The fair brought together producers, companies, and technology providers, offering valuable insights into innovations across the entire value chain – from primary production to processing and marketing. Particularly notable was the strong presence of precision agriculture technologies, especially agricultural drones designed for crop monitoring and precision spraying, highlighting the growing role of digital tools in modern vegetable production.
Equally impressive were new approaches to vegetable processing, especially marinating, as well as modern packaging concepts such as “ready-to-eat” and “go-and-eat” vegetable products. These innovations reflect changing consumer habits and increasing demand for convenient, healthy food, while also creating opportunities to enhance the added value of vegetable products. Visits to such events enable INNO4VEG members to follow emerging trends and support the integration of precision technologies and innovative processing methods into sustainable vegetable production.
