From January 27 to 29, 2026, the 52nd Symposium “Agro-Technology and Precision Agriculture” was held at Hotel Bor in Zlatibor. The event covered key topics including precision agriculture, agricultural support measures, new varieties, and modern production technologies. Discussions with agronomists and industry representatives made it clear that 2025 was an extremely challenging year, primarily due to drought and high temperatures, which significantly affected crop production. However, it is precisely such difficult years that provide the most valuable lessons, as challenging conditions highlight the importance of informed decisions, appropriate technologies, and timely management practices.
Particularly noteworthy was the application of precision spraying technologies. Plant protection in vegetable production is highly complex due to the sensitivity of crops to numerous pathogens and pests. Precision application enables more efficient protection, more rational use of inputs, and greater production security. Events like this confirm that the future of vegetable production lies in the adoption of precision and digital technologies, fully aligned with the mission of INNO4VEG – advancing vegetable production through innovation and science.
