Experimental field trials established in West Bačka, part of the Pannonian Basin, are evaluating the effects of different production practices on the yield and quality of pepper, tomato, eggplant, common bean, cabbage, and onion.
The main objective is to determine how innovative production practices can help mitigate the impacts of climate change on vegetable production in the Pannonian Basin. Current research focuses on the evaluation of biostimulants, irrigation strategies, cultivar selection, planting density, and fertilization, with the aim of identifying sustainable and climate-resilient production systems.
INNO4VEG members are actively involved in the implementation and monitoring of these field trials throughout the entire growing season, contributing to data collection, crop evaluation, and the dissemination of research findings that support the development of more sustainable vegetable production systems
